How Paul Backman Took Control Of His Health and His Life

Paul Backman turned to The Longevity Clinic because he wanted more out of life. He wanted to achieve his full potential and leave a lasting legacy in the world.

“As I get older, I feel like I have more to contribute. But to do that, I need to ensure I have the energy, drive and health.”

The reason is simple: “I want to be active in my grandchildrens’ live, as well as the lives of others.”
So far, results have exceeded expectations. And the best is yet to come.

Paul is a 53-year-old executive for a company that helps millions of farmers grow nutritious food in a way that helps the planet. He says he had no big health issues aside from “gradual weight gain and lack of energy.”

Yet like so many other Longevity Clinic high achievers who hold themselves to high standards, Paul wanted even more.

“I have been very focused, until now, on my family and career.”

“I think it’s a typical story for someone successful in the business world: their physical health takes a back seat to focusing on others and working very hard in their careers.”

“I really liked the idea of a holistic approach to improve my current health coupled with the idea of increasing the odds of a longer and healthier life.”

In the past, Paul had tried occasional diets and getting in his steps. But he had no real strategy.

He had heard the buzz around longevity, and wanted to find out more.

So the next stop was the Longevity Clinic, where Paul began with the Phase One Protocol. This includes a sleep study, a body scan, and a  VO2 Max test on the stationary bike.

The results surprised him.

“I have always been a high achiever and it was difficult to hear that the result of the VO2 Max was less than what I expected.”

“Dr. Jarbou was fantastic at relating to me and getting my focus off of the poor result and encouraging me with what we would do to change it.”

“It was also very helpful to hear that I am like a lot of others with my background and we could start to make an impact quickly.”

Next was a nutrition, fitness and lifestyle modification program, handcrafted by Marmar Atallah, an expert in those fields who co-founded the Longevity Clinic with Dr. Jarbou.

“The first step I took was to spend 20-30 minutes on the Peleton 2 times a week.  After a couple of weeks of this, the goal was to increase to 3 times per week.  This has gone smoothly and I have started to add in weight training as well.”

“I am only a couple months into it but have already dropped 7 lbs and actually look forward to my workouts!”

That’s why Paul recommends The Longevity Clinic to busy professionals, like him who “have been successful in life but need to prioritize their own health.”

Paul notes that this group “tends to thrive on a data driven approach with a structured plan.”

Which is exactly what The Longevity Clinic delivers, regardless of your current situation.
